Dear Chorale Members,

Thank you for a wonderful performance yesterday evening at the Springside Inn! You should be very proud of what you accomplished in these few short weeks of rehearsals. I've heard nothing but praise for the program, for the music, for the performers, for the dinner, for the auction, for everything. All of it was the result of many, many people putting in lots of effort, time, and funds to get this done. Thank you, one and all.

I would like to express my own personal thanks for this special year with you. Thirteen years ago, when I moved into full-time work as a college administrator after more than twenty years of full-time college teaching, I knew that one of the trade-offs would be to miss the exhilaration of working directly with students. For this year, you have been my students, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to have worked with you. It's been fun, exciting, scary, and challenging as we have met our performance schedule, grown together, laughed together, shared a tear or two, and wondered perhaps if we really could pull off the Mozart. I couldn't have enjoyed it more, even when I was bone-tired from long days and too many meetings. You've helped me to keep my own sanity. And, that's the power of music, and of good music-making together.

I hope that you'll enjoy your Summer time off, and come back to the Chorale refreshed and ready to go again this Fall. I'm planning to be back with you again.

Fondly,
